1、壓路機壓路時要從公路的邊沿壓起，壓實路面逐漸向公路中間移動。前側(cè)的軋輥應(yīng)具有一定的重疊寬度，雙輥式壓路機與單輪式壓路機的交迭寬度為250~300mm，而三輪式壓路機的交疊寬度應(yīng)為主壓輪的二分之一左右。

2、壓路機碾壓技術(shù)：在工作過程中，壓路機應(yīng)該在起動前啟動，而內(nèi)燃發(fā)動機應(yīng)先達到中等速度，再轉(zhuǎn)到高速。當(dāng)坡面非常陡峭的時候，須先用小型壓路機進行預(yù)壓，然后用重型壓路機或壓路機進行壓實。
2. 3、在直線上進行壓實，壓實應(yīng)遵循“由輕到重、由慢到快、由邊到中（曲線段按先內(nèi)、后外）”的原則。使用1次靜壓+3-4次震動+1次靜壓的方法，運行速度以3-6公里/小時為宜。

4、將壓路機盡可能的接近攤鋪機，采用先輕后重的加壓方式進行壓路，以保證混凝土在冷卻到至小溫度之前能滿足密實度的要求。在碾碎新的瀝青路面時，為了降低路面的起皺和開裂，駕駛員應(yīng)先把主動輪開到新鮮的混合料場中。保證沖擊碾壓的速度是恒定的，在熱料層上不能隨意停頓、轉(zhuǎn)彎，而且起步要慢，以減少壓痕。
4. The road roller shall be close to the paver as much as possible, and the road shall be compacted in a light to heavy way to ensure that the concrete can meet the requirements of compactness before it is cooled to a low temperature. When crushing the new asphalt pavement, in order to reduce the wrinkling and cracking of the pavement, the driver should first drive the driving wheel to the fresh mixture yard. 此外，無論是上坡還是下坡，都應(yīng)該把壓路機的傳動輪放在后方。這樣可以保證上坡時，后輪能承受斜坡和機械本身的推動力，而前輪在地面上進行初步壓縮，從而抵抗來自驅(qū)動輪的強大剪切力；下坡時，由于壓路機自身重量所帶來的沖力由主動輪的剎車所抵消，而只有前車輪碾壓后的混合料具有支撐后驅(qū)動輪的剪力。
